Using Pay Per Click To Sell Your Resale Rights Package

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

One of the most effective forms of advertising on the Internet today is what is called pay per click advertising. Pay per click is where you only pay for the ad you placed if somebody clicks on it and visits
your sales page. In theory, this sounds very simple. Unfortunately, pay per click advertising can eat your sales budget alive if you don’t know what you’re doing. Hopefully, the following tips will give you a
decent idea of how to set up a pay per click campaign, though it is really a lot more complex than this. My suggestion is to take a good crash course on pay per click advertising and learn as much as you can.

The most popular pay per click search engine is Google Adwords. There are others that are not as expensive to advertise with but the downside is they don’t get as much traffic. You have to decide which is more important to you, costs or traffic.

In the case of selling a resale rights package, you are unfortunately behind the 8 ball right from the start. Internet marketing ads are about the most expensive on pay per click search engines. The reason for this is very simple. The competition for the consumer’s dollars in the attempt to hook them into the latest money making product is fierce. The top spot in these related categories can run you several
dollars per click. So if you have a product that’s only getting you $20 profit per sale, you are looking at a closing percentage that is simply quite unrealistic. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t
advertise using pay per click search engines.

For starters, you don’t need the top spot. The truth is, you don’t really need anything near the top spot to make sales with pay per click. It is a known statistic that people using search engines will go as far as page 3 to find something they are looking for. If they haven’t found it by then, they pretty much give up. Therefor, setting your cost per click to land you between, say pages 2 and 3 will be more than good enough to get you some decent traffic. In these
positions, usually between 8 and 16, you can get away with costs of less than 20 cents per click. Also, if you narrow down your keywords to just the specific ones for your product, these keywords probably won’t cost much at all. Now you’ve gotten your costs down to the point where your required closing ratio is something a little more realistic.

Also, in placing your campaign you don’t want to include the whole world. In most cases you really only want to reach English speaking countries such as The United States, England, Australia and Canada.
This keeps people who probably won’t be able to use your product, unless it’s bilingual, from clicking on your ad. This also keeps costs down.

Before you even begin your pay per click campaign you want to make sure you have your web site and sales page ready to go. Each click is going to cost you money, site or no. So the last thing you want to do is spend money on advertising for a product that isn’t finished or doesn’t even exist yet.

You want to test your campaign for about 500 clicks to determine if the product itself is even sellable. If you’re not making enough money in those 500 clicks to at least cover you expenses and make a small profit then most likely the product isn’t marketable. You may think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread but it’s what the public thinks that matters.

Pay per click can be costly and risky. But with the proper fine tuning and testing it can be one of the most powerful forms of advertising on the Internet. It comes down to getting a good education on the process. Google has a great training section. It should get you off to a good start.

Advertising Using Pay-per-click

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Advertising your products or services on the Internet is both extremely effective and extremely competitive. There are several ways to attract traffic to your website. Pay-Per-Click is one, as well as developing an SEO, or search engine optimization campaign. Both pay-per-click and SEO are targeted to get your website placed as close to the top of search engine results as possible. It takes only minutes to set up a pay-per-click campaign versus months for a good SEO campaign.

Pay-Per-Click is a simple type of paid advertising that most search engines now offer. It requires a bid for a “per-click” basis, which translates to your company paying the bid amount every time the search engine directs a visitor to your site. There is the added bonus that when a per-click site sends your website traffic, your site often appears in the results of other search engines.

As with all marketing, there are pros and cons. If you understand the process and monitor your pay-per-click campaign frequently, it can be very effective. One of the greatest advantages is that you never have to change your web pages to alter your position in search engine results, as you must do in a typical SEO campaign. What you do have to do in a pay-per-click campaign is pay a fee.

Another advantage is the simplicity of the pay-per-click process. You just bid and you’re up and running. It doesn’t require any real technical knowledge, though the more you know about search engines and keywords, the easier – and more effective – the process will be.

The downside is that pay-per-click is essentially a bidding war. A higher bid than yours will lower your position on search engine results. This means that you will have to raise your bid to regain your position – depending on the popularity of your key words this may becme very expensive.

In order to determine the effectiveness of Pay-Per-Click for marketing your business, you must do some calculations to work out how much each visitor to your site is worth. You can do this value by dividing the profit you make on your website over a given period of time by the total number of visitors for that same time period. For example, if your site made $5,000 in profits and there were 10,000 hits, each visitor would be theoretically worth 50 cents. The basic formula is profits divided by visitors.

The figure of 50 cents per visitor is the point at which your business breaks even. Therefore, you are aiming at a figure less than 50 cents per click.

Often the most popular keywords cost a lot more than 50 cents a click. The only way around this is to bid less for these phrases or you will be paying too much for each individual hit.

The key to success is to learn everything you can about researching search engine keywords. There are no limits to the amount of keywords you can add to your bid because additional keywords do not add additional cost. This means lot less hassle for you because there is no need to optimize your site for a particular set of keywords.

In pay-per-click, the written description is crucial. You must understand that the object of your description is not to generally attract visitors, but to be as specific as possible so that only those visitors who are likely to buy your service or product go to your site. This description is your most powerful tool to insure that your bid is profitable.

Another essential element of pay-per-click advertising is constant monitoring of your bid. With the major Search Engines the competition for top ranking is intense, and very often you will find that the bidding price balloons too high for pay-per-click to yield a profit.

Remember – don’t pay so much for your keywords that you can’t make a profit.

Since losing money is not the idea, you must have a plan in place to closely track the effectiveness of your keyword. It is advisable to monitor your keywords on at least a monthly basis.

Not only is careful monitoring important, but the analysis of visitor behavior can produce invaluable knowledge about consumer motivation, habits, and trends. Expert monitoring and consumer analysis is essential to your overall business needs, and will also insure that your campaign is a success.

Promoting Websites Using Pay-Per-Click Ads

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

Pay-per-click advertising campaigns promoting your e-commerce website are probably the most popular type of online advertising. Everybody, from an ordinary housewife to a successful big time businessman can benefit from these online advertising strategies.

In starting an e-commerce business, there are a lot of things that you need to consider. Of course, you need a high quality product. You can just become a marketing affiliate if you do not have your own product.

You would need to have a server where you can host your website. Once you have setup your website, install shopping cart software to facilitate online orders. You also need to sign up for an account in websites such as Paypal for you to be able to accept payments online.

Next, you will have to work on the marketing side. This is where pay-per-click advertising comes into the picture.

As the name implies, pay-per-click advertising pays every site owner for every click on the ads that are displayed on his site. This is a really great tool for business owners who want to drive more traffic into their site. They can effectively display their ads on other peoples websites to create a link bank to their site and only pay when their ad is clicked on.

There are a few companies that handle pay-per-click advertising such as Google Adsense or the Yahoo-based Overture. However, even if they do manage the ads well, as the advertiser, you still need to know the basics. If you have a good knowledge on how to write compelling ad copy, you will be able to achieve better results. Better results of course, translate to higher profits.

The goal in writing a good pay-per-click ad is to compel readers to click on your ad. Remember that the billions of people using the internet are all potential customers.

Pay-per-click ads are very useful in giving your business a good start. It is a known strategy to be very effective especially for new online businesses. If your website has already established its name with regular customers or visitors, then you may not need to engage in this type of advertising.

Here are a few tips in getting started with your advertising. Make sure that the ads headline matches the kind of audience you want. You can try mentioning specific keywords at the top.

You can also showcase a few benefits of your products. These will surely get the attention of visitors and hopefully encourage them to click on your ads. An increase in the number of people clicking on the ad can lead to an increase in your sales.

Pay-per-click advertising is a really great way to get large volumes of visitors coming to your website, but the only catch is that it may be somewhat expensive. It involves bidding on your desired keywords so your website turns up to be one of the top results in search engines.

In deciding the keywords, you should let your creativity shine. Even if your site ranks first, you may not be able to convert internet surfers into buyers. It should be catchy enough and would lead them directly to the site which contains the keyword they are searching for.

Aside from Google and Overture, other pay-per-click search engines include FindWhat, Maama, Ah-Ha, Sprinks, Boldsearch and 7Search. Basically, they all follow the same principles. What differs one from another is the search engines popularity and its affiliation to certain huge websites.

Since these search engines are independent from each other, searching on a keyword using one may turn out different results if you use other engines. Thus, you would have to decide which ones will suit your website content needs best.

It may not be very cost effective if you sign up for an account on several of these pay-per-click search engines. You will have to pay more, and sometimes, your profits may not be enough to justify all the associated costs.

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

YOU need traffic in a highly Competitive market. You are going to pay one way or the other. You need to secure the best ROI possible, You can do that with PPC marketing. You just need to be careful. Some Marketers run their entire campaign using
Pay Per Click Advertising. The secret to exclusively using PPC and not losing your shirt, is don’t waste money on worthless clicks. To avoid pouring buckets of cash down the drain, you need to know which clicks are losing you money.

There is software that will analyze your campaign automatically and eliminate losses. You can find tools like that on the Internet.

Reduce Losses Even More By Boosting Your Quality Score When advertising with search engines. Your “quality score” determines how much you pay for clicks. In simple terms, if your quality score is lower than another, you’ll pay more than them for the same keyword.

There are several factors in determining quality score – but the biggest factor is the number of times your ads get shown without getting clicked on. This is not surprising really, since every time this happens, the search engine loses money.

Even those visitors who hit their Back button within seconds of seeing your site, still cost you the full price of that click.
And for most PPC marketers, that means TONS of wasted cash. To me, it is imperative to own the tools to avoid losses.

Top software that will save you money and give you peace of mind is very inexpensive.
